Individual Therapy - $200 Per 50 Min Session
YOU DON'T HAVE TO FIGURE THIS OUT ALONE
Life can feel overwhelming — whether you're navigating anxiety or depression, working through your identity, processing religious trauma, or simply carrying more than you can hold on your own. Individual therapy offers a space that's entirely yours: no judgment, no agenda, just honest and collaborative work toward the life you want.
At Thomas Counseling Services, I believe you are the expert of your own life. My role isn't to tell you what to do — it's to walk alongside you, help you make sense of what you're experiencing, and support you in finding your own path forward. Much of that work involves understanding how your family of origin — the family you grew up in — shapes how you relate to yourself and others today.
I have over 13 years of experience working with teens and adults navigating:
LGBTQIA+ identity — I provide affirming, inclusive therapy for queer and trans individuals at any stage of self-discovery, coming out, or community navigation. This is a space where your full identity is celebrated, not pathologized. My work in this area spans clinical practice, peer-reviewed research, national advocacy, and co-editing AAMFT's Gender-Affirming Care guidelines.
Polyamory and ethical non-monogamy (ENM) — I'm sex-positive and kink-friendly, and I work with individuals navigating non-traditional relationship structures without judgment.
Religious trauma — Leaving or questioning a faith community can be disorienting and painful. I offer a safe, non-judgmental space to process that experience and rebuild a sense of self.
Life transitions, anxiety, and stress — Whether you're facing a career shift, a relationship change, loss, or a season of feeling stuck, therapy can help you regain clarity and find your footing.
WHAT TO EXPECT
After your free 15-minute consultation, our first session covers your history, the therapy process, and any questions you have. The first 1–4 sessions are an opportunity for us to assess fit — if we decide to move forward, we'll set a regular meeting time, build treatment goals together, and review those goals every three months or upon completion. Most clients start with weekly sessions, then move to every two weeks once the intake process is complete. You set the pace from there.Couple Therapy - $250 per 50 Min Session
STRONGER TOGETHER — WHEN YOU'RE READY TO DO THE WORK
Every relationship hits rough patches. Communication breaks down. Trust erodes. You find yourselves having the same argument on repeat, or worse — not talking at all. Couples therapy isn't a sign that your relationship is failing. It's a sign that you're committed enough to fight for it.
At Thomas Counseling Services, I work with couples of all kinds — queer, straight, monogamous, polyamorous, or ethically non-monogamous. All relationship structures are welcome here.
My goal is to build a relationship manual with each couple. A manual that is guided by the couple and fits their unique relationship style and needs. Additionally, I incorporate Gottman research alongside other evidence-based, attachment-informed approaches. That means we focus not just on what you're fighting about, but why — and how each of you shows up in relationship based on your history, your family of origin, and your deeper needs.
Together, we'll work to:
Break unhealthy communication cycles and build patterns that actually work
Rebuild trust and intimacy after conflict, betrayal, or infidelity
Prepare for marriage through pre-marital counseling that builds a strong foundation before problems arise
Navigate major life transitions — becoming parents, blending families, managing illness, or facing loss together
Address the impact of substance use on your relationship and begin healing as a unit
Affirm and strengthen non-traditional relationship structures — whether you're navigating polyamory, opening a relationship, or managing the unique dynamics of an ENM partnership
WHAT TO EXPECT
Couples therapy follows the same intake process as individual therapy — a free consultation, followed by 1–4 sessions to assess fit and establish goals. From there, we build a plan together. Most couples begin meeting weekly and transition to every two weeks as things stabilize. Treatment goals are reviewed every three months so you can track real progress.FAmily Therapy - $250 Per 50 min session
FAMILIES ARE COMPLEX. HEALING TOGETHER IS POSSIBLE.
Families don't come with instruction manuals. Whether you're dealing with conflict between generations, a family member's struggle with substance use, a child coming out, or simply a season of tension that won't resolve on its own, family therapy can help you find a new way forward — together.
At Thomas Counseling Services, I work through a systemic lens — which means I look at how the whole family functions as a unit, not just the individual who seems to be struggling. I also pay close attention to family-of-origin patterns: the dynamics you each grew up with that shape how you communicate, conflict, and connect today.
I don't take sides or assign blame. Instead, I help each person in the room feel heard, and I work with the whole system to understand the patterns that have led you here.
Family therapy can help with:
Substance use within the family — Addiction doesn't just affect the individual; it reshapes the entire family dynamic. Therapy helps families heal together and develop healthier ways of relating.
Supporting a queer or trans family member — Coming out is a family experience. I bring national-level expertise in affirming care — including co-editing AAMFT's Gender-Affirming Care guidelines — to support families navigating questions of identity, acceptance, and belonging.
Religious trauma and faith transitions — When a family member leaves or questions a shared faith, it can fracture family bonds. Therapy helps families navigate those differences with understanding and respect.
Parent-child conflict — Whether your child is a teenager pushing back or an adult child in a strained relationship, we can work to rebuild understanding and connection.
Blended family adjustment — Merging families brings real challenges. Therapy provides a neutral space to work through roles, boundaries, and expectations.
Communication and conflict — If every conversation escalates or ends in silence, therapy can help you develop the skills to actually reach each other.
I work with teens and adults, and all family configurations are welcome — including LGBTQIA+ families, families in recovery, and non-traditional family structures.
WHAT TO EXPECT
Family therapy begins with a free consultation, followed by an intake process (1–4 sessions) to understand your family's history and identify goals. From there, we meet on a schedule that works for your family — typically weekly at first, then every two weeks. Goals are reviewed every three months.
